Relictus.
Relictus is an immersive, long-form study of the (coming soon) wildlife sanctuary, captured through a strictly observational lens. Moving away from traditional nature documentaries, the film focuses on the complex reality of a space shared by a vast array of species—from the apex predators to the often-overlooked inhabitants of the wild.By documenting the repetitive, meditative daily labor of the caretakers and the heavy stillness of the sanctuary, we examine the weight of responsibility that comes with long-term stewardship. This is a visual exploration of coexistence in its most honest form—one that captures the grit, the tension, and the quiet dignity of animals living on the edge of the human world. We refuse to look away from the atmospheric reality of life within these gates, delivering a message that is both heavy and undisturbed.
